A billion Euro investment BSM Petroleum Refinery Heliport Complextotally destroyed in Zamfara

An old friend of mine whom I haven't spoken to nor seen for almost 10 years now got in touch with me early this week via Facebook. Unknown to me,he has been following me on the social media and following my blog as well.

He told me a story which broke my heart. The story is about a company called BSM

BSM Petroleum Refinery Heliport Complex

Picture shows the Advance Chopper Helicopter of the President, Fedral Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, at the BSM Petroleum Refinery Heliport Complex next to the NNPC Depot Gusau Sokoto Road, Zamfara State during his state visit in March 2011.

BSM has a Petroleum Refinery Heliport Complex located next to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), in Gusau, Sokoto Road, Zamfara State of Nigeria.

BSM Consortium created jobs, employment and training opportunities for many Nigerians.

The Project was started in partnership with the Zamfara State Government and the agreement was signed with a former Governor.

The bad news is that this Billion Euro investments of BSM Petroleum Refinery and Hydrocarbon Park Complex In Gusau, Zamfara State and other integrated projects of BSM has been completely destroyed.

Further information I gathered claim that this billion Naira private investment was looted and vandalised and further demolished by the incumbent Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari over political rivalry.

My source also revealed that the Founder and Chairman, Board of Directors of BSM Int'nal Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd LATEEF LAI OGUNGBADERO is on exile at the moment given several assassination and kidnap attempts on him.

This is very heart breaking, one would imagine that given the level of fuel scarcity in Nigeira which in itself is very ironical, that government will go extra miles to support a company like BSM which has invested in Petroleum Refinery.
