International women's day 2014

The theme for the international women's day 2014 is inspiring change. Change in every way and in all sense.

Each year International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8. The first International Women's Day was held in 1911. Thousands of events occur to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women.
It is a great opportunity for me to mention the women who inspire me. Women like:
My mother Mrs Dioma Kanu, who prayed without ceasing to impact a change in the life and destinies of all her eight children.

Oprah Winfrey

A big influencer on my dreams, aspirations and goals is a great woman of our times, Oprah Winfery. I admire her big heart of gold. An American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist. The impact she has made on other people's lifes is massive.

Emem Isong

Emem Isong, a woman of great intelligence. A Nigerian filmmaker. An excellent producer, script writer, and director. Any of her movies I watch inspires me in a new different way.

Judge Judy

Judge Judy is a big inspiration to me, I admire her wisdom and wittiness. Her real name is Judith Susan Sheindlin better known as Judge Judy, an American lawyer, judge, television personality, and author.

I believe every woman is an inspiration. The role women play in their homes and the society at large cannot be over emphasized. Permit me to congratulate all the women out there.

This post will not be complete without mentioning the beautiful and real women of The Association of Nigerian Women in Glasgow ...Strenght in Sisterhood. You all are real, and down to earth. You ladies are a great inspiration.

Take out time today to appreciate a woman in your life. Women are the strength of a nation.
