My Story this Snowy Day

The snow started last night and by this morning, when we went outside for school run, everywhere is covered in snow. Priceless my son had gone back to the house to grab his hand gloves at seeing how cold it was. I had to first remove the snow from the car as its all hidden in snow. My hands began to really freeze and numb from the snow ice. As soon as Priceless came down, I asked him to help me in taking our the snow because he was wearing hand gloves. We managed to take out as much as could let us drive in the car.

On getting to the road, all the drivers had to go like 10 miles per hour as the road condition was bad. This means that a 10 minute journey will nearly take 30 minute. We dragged to Priceless' school and I was hurrying back to drop my girl at nursery so I could meet up with a 10:00am appointment. Dropped Princess Star off and got back home. On getting to my door, I realised that I didn't have the house keys! The time is 9:30am. Priceless forgot to give me back the key after getting his hand gloves.

I had to drive back to priceless' school to get the house keys as I need to dress up for my appointment. My phone is in the house, so I couldn't contact the people to say I will be running late and driving 10 miles per hour didn't help matters.

The time is 9:55am and I am almost at Priceless' school, I only need to pass through a side road. Guess what? I had driven into the side road, and almost at the end of it. This City building bus driver, made his way into the same side road from my opposite direction even though he had seen me coming. Cars are parked at both sides of the road and only one car can pass at a time. We both met at a point and non could move any further. He was expecting me to reverse back while I expected the same from him. We both stood there waiting. I was already having a bad day, so I switched off my engine and  turned up the volume of my music. We both waited for more than 15 minutes and other cars joined the line behind us. The bus driver eventually reversed back, making way for me.

I got to the school and got the keys from the office as Priceless noticed he had it and left it with the school office.

Alright, I have already missed the meeting as I am nearly 30 minute late by now, not including the time it will take me to go home and get ready and then get to he venue. What more can go wrong? I thought to myself. Lo and behold! on making my first step down the stairs outside the school, I fell  down! Oh great! Story of my life!

Reading this back, I am laughing my head off at myself (just like you might be doing now) but really it wasn't funny at all.

I must be the only one that hate snow now. I still blame it for everything. I don't really understand what all the fuss about snow is about!
